Website enquiries
Our contact form prepares an email in your own email application; it does not submit your message to an Orbon website database. If you send the email, we receive the name, email address, optional company and message you provide. We use this information to respond, discuss requested services, and manage related correspondence. Depending on the enquiry, our UK GDPR lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract or our legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries.
Paroot and WhatsApp
Paroot is a product in development. Where a business connects its WhatsApp Business account and uses Paroot to manage customer conversations, that business generally determines why and how its customer contact details, WhatsApp identifiers and message content are used. In that context, Orbon expects to act as a processor on the business's instructions, subject to the actual service arrangements. The business is responsible for identifying its applicable lawful basis and giving its customers appropriate privacy information. Orbon may separately act as a controller for its own account, security and business administration data.
Sharing and providers
The website is hosted using Google Firebase. WhatsApp integrations involve Meta and the WhatsApp Business Platform, where applicable. Email enquiries are processed through the email providers used by the sender and Orbon. Provider processing, storage locations and any international transfers depend on the relevant service and configuration; these should be checked before Paroot goes into production.
Retention and security
We retain business enquiries only as long as reasonably needed to respond, manage a relationship, meet legal obligations or resolve disputes. WhatsApp conversation retention for Paroot customers is subject to the service's configured retention and the business customer's instructions. We take reasonable measures to protect personal data, but no online service is risk-free.
Cookies
This website does not intentionally set advertising or analytics cookies. Essential browser storage may be used for interface preferences, such as theme selection. If tracking or other cookies are introduced, this notice and any required consent controls must be updated before they are enabled.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing of your data, and to data portability where applicable. Contact al@orbon.co.uk. For personal data handled by Paroot on behalf of a business, we may refer your request to that business. You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
